- 98% of our professional spit roasting oven is manufactured from food grade stainless steel (body 430grade / spit 202grade). The bulk of the external surfaces are manufactured using double skinned stainless steel, this improves insulation and for safety, reduces the external surface temperature.
- The bottom of the oven is sloped towards the rear and is fitted with a 30mm drain hole, this allows the fat to be drained off during cooking. This also helps during the oven cleaning process.
- The oven does not have a viewing window as experience has shown us they easily fracture and quickly steam up blocking your vision. We recommend opening the lid to view, as once lid is closed the oven very quickly returns to its cooking temperature
- Due to the quality of materials used in the manufacture of the oven, cleaning by hand is quick and easy but a pressure washer or steam cleaner will also be ideal. If you use a power cleaner you must ensure the motor and gas train are well protected from water ingression.
Hog Roast Machine, Spit Roast oven FAQ's
Why no windows? A window is not easy to make with a double skinned oven and we decided that the safety and insulatory properties of a double skin far outweighed the advantage of a window PLUS:- Windows get greased and steamed up very quickly so difficult to see through Are brittle at temperature and can crack easily and will burn anyone if inadvertently touched It’s dark in there, so even with a big window and frequently cleaned glass, it’s difficult to see anything inside the oven. It’s much more impressive to open the lid to show customers, the temperature on the oven will drop 60 to 80 degrees if the lid is up for say a minute BUT with our efficient burners the temperature will return within 10 minutes so no noticeable loss of cooking time. (Anyway its good policy to keep an eye on the meat and frequently check the cooking)
What is your guarantee? The TT oven is guaranteed for 12 months against manufacturer’s defects, this of course excludes wearable parts or misuse.
Will you do a deal on price/delivery? The ovens are currently being offered at a launch price and are around half the cost of anything to a similar specification on the market so sorry, no, we cannot do any deals on price. Carriage is extra at cost but we strongly advise you to come and view the machine prior to purchase so you can see the quality and accessories available.
Don’t forget, you are considering a professional, double skinned 98% stainless steel, very large, portable and smart looking machine which will make you good profits for many years to come and will always maintain a good second hand value should you ever decide to retire (which you will do sooner if you buy a TT oven!). |
